I'm Pat Mullen, founder and owner of TESTYOU
Commercial Driver School, since 1996. I started this school as a retired driver, with the belief that all my trainers should also be retired drivers. Because we have a lot of on the road experience, we can share the things we have learned through the years. This keeps a new driver from making those inevitable and sometimes costly mistakes. The driver can then save the employers equipment and money, which is an advantage to everyone. |

The other thing I believe in, is one-on-one training. I could save money running students in groups, but when you think about the training those people would miss, it just wasn't worth it. In group training sessions, people fall through the cracks or feel uneasy about other students peering over their shoulder. If I'm paying to be trained, I don't want to be at risk, driving with another student, or waiting my turn to drive, while the clock keeps ticking. One-on-one training doesn't allow that to happen. You get the undivided attention you deserve and require to become a safe and consciences driver.
Each person is different, and require different amounts of training in various phases of learning the program, therefore our schedule is flexible enough to allow our students extra time in troubled areas, which makes for a well rounded driver in every way.
Our trainers are all retired truckers with millions of miles safety awards. We come with 35 combined years of training time, and 102 combined years of driving experience. As you can see, we come with a lot of experience and knowledge to pass on to our students, in hopes of making top notch drivers out of each student.
We train on modern equipment, maintained to DOT standards. 10 speed tractors, with 45 feet and over, trailers are used for training. We provide students with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere to work at their own pace. A list of companies, that traditionally hire our drivers, is provided to all students. One company on our list needs 50 drivers immediately.
The U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics says, "Trucking has the greatest number of job openings each year." "With trucking being a constant presence on the nation's highways, delivering everything from cars to food, there will always be a constant need."
We like to see our students become employed truck drivers, and earn a good living, sometimes turning their whole life around. We often have students return to the school, in a nice truck, full of success stories. It turns our efforts into a great experience we want to share and a rewarding business to be in.
You are always welcome to come see TESTYOU
first hand and meet our team of people who will be glad to show you around.
Sincerely,
Pat Mullen |
